My friend has recently had a baby as usual she was inundated with gifts baby-grows, keepsakes and teddies to name just a few, after speaking to her about everything she had, she told me of one particular gift she thought was really unique it was a photograph session at a local photographers.

It was a session booked and payed for spread out over 8 months, to watch her baby grow in the photographs. Every 2 months she would take her baby to the photographers all dressed up ready to have his picture taken and received the photograph shortly afterwards.

If you are struggling for a unique meaningful gift for a special person I would definitely recommend this.

One of my best friends has just had a new baby boy a few weeks ago. When I went to visit him in hospital when he was only a few days old, I could not believe how small and fragile he looked. His mother was exhausted after a very difficult birth which led to an emergency caesarean. She was in the end simply delighted that her little bundle of joy had arrived safe and sound!

Lots of friends and family had been to visit him and given him cuddly toys and gifts, but there was one gift in particula which the mother recieved which i thought was a lovely idea, a baby journal. It was a nicely decorated book, which enabledthe parent to record the babies first year, first steps, first words……everything. It then becomes a wonderful memento for both the child and the parents.

There is nothing more special than the new arrival of a baby to the family and what better way to celebrate this by buying some fantastic new baby gifts. Of course the ultimate present would be our time with the new arrival but this cannot always be the case with work, livings away or due to illness but this should not stop you from showing your happiness and joy for the new born.

Everywhere you look these days you see things advertised for babies and more so if you have just had one i can vouch for this one ever since i have had my little girl every channel and advertisement seems to be regarding baby toys no wonder they become spoilt.

At such an early age it can be very difficult to decide on what type of gift to get and it may be best asking the parents what they need as i am sure they would have had a list of things they would of wanted to buy. IF not you can never go wrong with a big cuddly teddy or sleeping blanket least you will not it will come in to use and be enjoyed by the new arrival.
